CTB’s Agile Mfg., Inc. Subsidiary Breaks Ground for 27,000-Square-Foot Plant Expansion

MILFORD, Ind., U.S.A., July 27, 2007 – CTB has announced that its Agile Mfg., Inc. subsidiary has broken ground on a 27,000-square-foot expansion to its manufacturing facilities in Anderson, Missouri. The project will encompass added floor space for manufacturing and warehousing use, and is expected to be completed in October, 2007.

“As Agile’s sales have grown, space in the existing facility was no longer adequate,” according to CTB president and chief executive officer, Victor A. Mancinelli. “The addition will help us to accommodate items currently stored off-site as well as reducing material handling requirements for leaner operation and improved customer service at our Anderson location.”

Tom Brackett, vice president and general manager for Agile Mfg. added, “We look forward to increasing our warehouse space, improving our efficiency and reducing costs as a result of the expansion.” Brackett noted that an additional driver for the project was warehousing space required for CTB’s recently introduced QuadRadiant® Heater which is manufactured at the Anderson plant. The new 80,000 BTU QuadRadiant Heater is different from poultry house heaters previously in the market due to its uniform, quadrangular-shaped heat pattern.

CTB acquired the Anderson plant in 1998 with the purchase of the former Sibley Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of brooders and heaters for poultry and livestock. In 2001, the Company co-located its Roxell USA manufacturing equipment for poultry feeders and drinkers from its former Springdale, Arkansas location to the Anderson plant, naming the combined entity Agile Mfg. With CTB’s acquisition of substantially all the assets of Shenandoah Manufacturing in 2002, fabrication of the Shenandoah® line of brooders, heaters and nests was also moved to Anderson.

The cost of the project was not made public.
